Eddie

Eddie started out as an apprentice Joiner in 1978, going on to work for multiple contractors all over the UK, from shop fitting, to roofing, to first and second fix. Having started to do more domestic work, he saw a gap in the market for a quality builder, who had an eye for detail and got the job done, so in 2000 he set up EP Muldoon Building Contractors. After getting through the initial finding your feet stage of any new business and building a team of quality tradesmen that had the same eye for detail, Eddie and his team won two North West Federation of Master Builders awards in 2006 & 2007. more >

In 2014 Eddie led the company on our largest ever project, the 500sqm bespoke new build required full ecological survey as it had to be sympathetic to surrounding ecology. This job was picked up by the Parliamentary Review in 2018.

Leading the team through the uncertainty of the pandemic, the team was then nominated and won back-to-back Building company of the year awards at the now bi-annual master builder awards in 2021 & 2023. Outside of the office Eddie is very family orientated and spends a lot of time with his four grandchildren.

John

John the foreman is an absolute asset to us and has been for a number of years. Key part of John role with us is mentoring the apprentices which has been a massive success. John joined in 2003 before our first large job on Park Lodge Close in Cheadle. Coming to us as a highly skilled Joiner as well as a working foreman, for us this is a massive plus to his leadership skills. This experience and professionalism is a massive teaching aid to the younger staff members. more >

Any of the requests for bespoke items of joinery that we get that can be done in house, such as these gallows brackets, are generally carried out by John. Proficient in all aspects of joinery from carcassing, roofing, 1st and 2nd fix as well the setting out & managing of a job, John is a real asset to our team. He’s also a dab hand in the kitchen.

Paul

Paul started 2004 as the companies first apprentice learning all aspect of joinery under the tutelage of John the company’s foreman. In 2012, after completing his degree in Construction Project Management, Paul left the company to gain more experience before coming back in 2018.

Paul’s job currently covers a lot of the stuff in the background, so quoting for projects, doing invoices, ordering materials among other things. Outside of the office Paul enjoys running of various distances from 5km parkruns to 50 mile ultra marathons.
